Meet The Summiteers – 2 of 5

2013 Consumer Med Summit - September 25-27, 2013

Chairman and CEO, Sharecare

Developing and maintaining good health is not easy, but finding personalized information and resources to help meet health goals should be. Whether its guidance from people like us, trusted clinicians, the latest research studies, or recommended products and services, wouldn’t it be great to find one place where experts share the best advice?

In partnership with Dr. Mehmet Oz and Harpo Studios (Oprah), Jeff Arnold aims to offer the solution that consumers have been looking for—24/7 access to an unprecedented depth and breadth of health information and interactive tools, tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Jeff Arnold comes to the healthcare industry with a unique understanding of how to engage consumers. Before founding Sharecare, which also owns media properties RealAge and DailyStrength, Jeff was a social media and content pioneer as Chairman and CEO of, which he sold to Discovery Communications. Prior to that, in 1998 he founded and built WebMD into the market leader in less than two years.

Come meet Jeff and hear how Sharecare aims to become the healthcare destination for consumers. And if we are lucky, maybe Jeff will share his “Real Age” with us…

President, CEO, Board Director, Colorescience

Earning credibility in aesthetics…How do you marry product innovation with the right channel partnerships?

In her five years of leadership at SkinMedica, Mary needed to not only oversee the complexities of product development, but also carefully cultivate her channel partnerships. In aesthetics, where claims often bear little relationship to reality, Mary knew physicians in the professional channel would appreciate her team’s use of pharmaceutical tools and techniques in product innovation—key to the brand’s core premise. Consumers could see results too, reinforcing their trust in their physician’s recommendations.

In December 2012, aesthetics market leader, Allergan, acquired SkinMedica for $350M (with an additional $25M in milestones). Mary now serves as President and CEO of Colorescience, a professional channel leader in mineral makeup and sunscreens, and former division of SkinMedica. Prior to SkinMedica, Mary held leadership positions at Acorda and Cephalon, and earlier worked at Immunex and Boehringer Ingelheim.
