Prior to that, in 1998 he founded and built WebMD into the market leader in less than two years.

Earning credibility in aesthetics…How do you marry product innovation with the right channel partnerships?

In her five years of leadership at SkinMedica, Mary needed to not only oversee the complexities of product development, but also carefully cultivate her channel partnerships. In aesthetics, where claims often bear little relationship to reality, Mary knew physicians in the professional channel would appreciate her team’s use of pharmaceutical tools and techniques in product innovation—key to the brand’s core premise. Consumers could see results too, reinforcing their trust in their physician’s recommendations.

In December 2012, aesthetics market leader, Allergan, acquired SkinMedica for $350M (with an additional $25M in milestones). Mary now serves as President and CEO of Colorescience, a professional channel leader in mineral makeup and sunscreens, and former division of SkinMedica. Prior to SkinMedica, Mary held leadership positions at Acorda and Cephalon, and earlier worked at Immunex and Boehringer Ingelheim.
